Have you seen the latest release from Rubbernecker? The October Release is full of gorgeous floral stamps, coordinating layering stencils, and dies that are perfect for making beautiful and bold card projects all year long. I used a couple of the new stamp sets and stencils from the release to create two pretty birthday cards.
MORNING GLORY BIRTHDAY CARD
The Cherished Blooms Stamp Set reminded me of gorgeous morning glories, so I stamped them in pretty colors and gave them a long trellis background to climb up on for this bright mini slimline birthday card.
- Stamp the layered flowers and stems from the Cherished Blooms Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Rose, Lavender, Orchid, and Grass Ink.
- Cut the images out with the coordinating dies or fussycut them out with scissors.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Mini Slimline Diamond Cover Die.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 3.5″ x 6″ and spray Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Spray over the entire panel to create a pretty blended sky. (I never really got into sprays that much before, but I LOVE how quick and easy it was to create backgrounds with these!)
- Stamp a sentiment from the Friends Forever Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink and trim it out.
- Adhere the inked panel to a top-folding white card base measuring 3.5″ x 6″ with tape runner.
- Add the die-cut background on top with foam adhesive strips.
- Adhere the flowers, stems, and sentiment to the card front with liquid glue and foam adhesive.
- Add Crystal Mix Gems to the background to embellish.
AUTUMN FLORAL BIRTHDAY CARD
The New Friends Floral Stamp Set has a gorgeous floral spray image in it that is perfect for those who love coloring with markers or colored pencils. But if you’re pressed for time or just don’t enjoy coloring, the coordinating layering stencil set takes all of the guesswork out of creating perfectly colored images!
- Stamp the floral image from the New Friends Floral Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink.
- Apply Citrus, Apricot, Scarlet, and Grass Ink to the image using the coordinating New Friends Floral Stencil Set and a blending tool.
- Die cut the image out using the New Friends Floral Die.
- Die cut a piece of patterned paper from the Harvest Time Paper Pad using the largest die from the Inside Scallop Nested Die Set.
- Mat the die cut panel with a piece of solid cardstock from the paper pad (cut to 4″ x 5.25″) and adhere to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
- Stamp a sentiment from the Kittie Says Phrases #1 Stamp Set onto white cardstock using black ink and trim it out into a small strip.
- Pop the floral image and sentiment strip up on top of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Add Green Color Essential Gems to embellish.
