Welcome back friends! Today I wanted to share the amazing Limited Edition Santa Lane Cardmaking Christmas Kit from Spellbinders. This MEGA kit includes over 300 pieces to make at least 25 cards with tons of leftovers for other holiday projects.
With an adorable 15 piece die set, beautiful stamp set, patterned paper, cardstock, card bases, envelopes, embellishments, and more, the Santa Lane Cardmaking Kit is perfect for taking the stress out of making your own handmade Christmas cards this year and also makes a great gift for a fellow crafter. I created eight cards with the kit, but could literally craft with the leftovers from now until Christmas arrives (and I just may!).
The die set included in the kit is simply amazing. It cuts this beautifully detailed Santa as well as an adorable sleigh, gifts, Santa’s magic sack, and snowman. I used the cardstock included in the kit to create a Santa pulling a little sleigh with his helper snowman and sack inside.
The background is made from one of the foiled papers in the Santa Lane Paper Pad (included in the kit, but you can also buy it separately!) that I inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to turn into a blue sky. Then I added a snowy hill cut with the Color Block Scenic Scape Die Set and a sentiment from the stamp set included, embossed in gold.
The stamp set also includes this adorable deer image. I stamped him in black ink and added quick color with some Copic markers before fussycutting him out. Then I added him to a background created with some of the patterned papers in the kit and embellished with a few die-cut shapes.
This sweet card was super easy to put together. I created a snowy sky by stamping snowflakes from the stamp set all over a piece of white cardstock using gold ink and then matted the panel before popping it up over a piece of patterned paper. Then I just added some cute neighborhood die-cut shapes and an elegant chipboard sentiment.
I couldn’t get over how cute the little snowman in the die set was, so I cut a few more for this winter scene. After piecing together this little girl and boy snowman, I had them rush through a snowy scene with their gift to get a what I’m assuming is a very important holiday party. 🙂
The background was created using just a few basic parts from the Through The Woods Die Set. I assembled the scene on top of another piece of pretty patterned paper and added a cute die cut sentiment beneath it.
Armed with a few more extra gifts and Santa’s sack that I had cut with the die set earlier, I put together this cute scene using some of the die-cut shapes in the kit. The oval backer was cut using the Fluted Classics Ovals Die Set and layered over some plaid patterned paper before popping the room together up on top. Then I added a fun puffy sticker sentiment to finish off the card.
This card is composed of almost entirely die-cut shapes from the kit. I layered a bunch of shapes to create some pretty tags, added them on top of more patterned paper, and embellished with some of those gorgeous glitter gemstones.
I thought these snowflake die-cuts would be perfect as ornaments, so I popped them up on top of some patterned paper with foam adhesive and added strings with a gold gel pen. A simple die-cut sentiment was all I needed to complete this simple and pretty card.
Lastly, some of the papers and die-cuts are so beautiful, I really don’t think they need much else to shine. This crazy simple card was made by matting a piece of floral patterned paper with gold cardstock and adding a gorgeous die-cut sentiment panel on top with foam adhesive. There are several of these printed panels included if you just wanted to make a bunch of simple and elegant cards like this.
