Christmas and New Year’s may be over, but it’s tough for me to jump right into spring florals when there’s still snow on the ground. That’s why I love to get more life out of my holiday stamps and dies by using them for winter hello or birthday cards. Here I took some cute critter stamps from Rubbernecker and paired them with a snowy forest scene for this easy winter hello card.
- Stamp animals from the Woodland Animals #1 and Woodland Animals #2 Stamp Sets onto white cardstock with black alcohol-friendly ink.
- Color the images with Tombow ABT Pro markers and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
- Trim a piece of white cardstock to 4″ x 5.25″.
- Place the Winter Tree Stencil on top of the white panel and blend Rose, Lavender, and Sonata Inks over it with a blending brush to form a pretty winter sky.
- Stamp a greeting from the Snowmen With Presents Stamp Set in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on the top right corner of the stenciled panel.
- Trim a piece of Purple Mist cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″.
- Die cut a piece of white cardstock using the largest die from the Nested Scallop With Holes Die Set. Keep the stitched frame and set the scalloped die-cut aside for another project.
- Mat the stenciled panel with the lavender cardstock and adhere it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
- Pop the white stitched frame up on top using foam adhesive.
- Add the winter animals to the scene with liquid glue and foam adhesive.
- Add white rhinestones to the background to look like sparkly snow.
