LARGE DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, “Floral Bunny Basket“, is a sweet set of 18 dies that can be used to create a beautiful layered basket and filled with tons of flowers, carrots, and even an adorable bunny butt!  I used the set to make this pretty and colorful 5″x7″ Easter card, but you can shorten the handle and fit the basket onto an A2-sized card base if you would like as well.

I cut all of the components out of Spellbinders cardstock and inked the edges with Distress Inks to give them lots of depth and dimension.  To assemble the card, I embossed a piece of Glacier Cardstock using this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month, added the die-cuts on top, and finished it all off with a sentiment embossed in gold using this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month.  (You can watch the assembly of this card over on the Spellbinders Youtube Channel here!)

SMALL DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Small Die of the Month Kit, “Rain Boot Bouquet“, is a gorgeous set perfect for spring cards.  The kit contains 11 cutting dies that allow you to fill a cute pair of rain boots with a beautiful bouquet of spring flowers.   I cut my boots out of Waterfall and Teal Topaz Cardstock and coated them with a thick layer of 3D Galaxy Gloss (you can use Glossy Accents as well) for a shiny look that is so fun!

The flowers were cut from various colors of Spellbinders Cardstock and assembled with liquid glue before arranging them inside my boots.  To create the background, I applied Royal Flush Solar Paste onto white cardstock through one of the stencils in this month’s Stencil of the Month Kit.  The sentiment was foiled in Champagne Hot Foil using this month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month.

STITCHING DIE OF THE MONTH

This month’s Stitching Die of the Month is so fun and easy to stitch!  “Stitched Floral Focal Card Front“, is a set of 5 dies that cuts a layered card front with a bold floral center.  I cut all of my layers out of white cardstock, blended Distress Oxide Inks on top, and then stitched everything up with gold metallic thread.  The stitching is pretty straightforward with this design, and you can always choose to just use the die-cuts as-is if you’re not feeling up to stitching.

To assembled the card, I blended Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink around the edges of Glacier Cardstock and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base before glueing the stitched pieces right on top.  The sentiment was foiled onto Chamomile Cardstock using Gold Hot Foil and this month’s Glimmer of the Month Kit.  (You can watch the assembly of this card over on the Spellbinders Youtube Channel here!)

CLEAR STAMP & DIE OF THE MONTH KIT

If you’re loving the beautiful florals this month, I have more to show you!  This month’s Clear Stamp of the Month Kit, “Lily Arch” is a set of 8 stamps with a beautiful, large floral image as well as 7 pretty sentiments.  If your subscription includes the coordinating dies, you’ll also get 8 dies to cut out the image and all of the sentiments.  I stamped the image from the kit onto white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers before cutting it out using the coordinating dies to form this gorgeous arched window.

To create the shaker element, I cut a window out of a piece of Pink Sand Cardstock using the Essential Arches Dies, embossed it using this month’s Embossing Folder of the Month, and adhered acetate behind the opening.  After dumping a ton of Aura Opalescent Sequins behind the window, I adhered the card front to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.  To finish off the card, I added the colored image on top of the acetate with liquid glue and popped a pretty greeting up on top of the arch with foam adhesive.

GLIMMER KIT OF THE MONTH

This month’s Glimmer Kit of the Month, “Daffodil Spray” contains 3 Glimmer plates that can be used to foil a gorgeous, oversized floral design along with two sentiments and their coordinating dies.  I applied Champagne Hot Foil to white cardstock using the floral image and one of the sentiments from the kit for this pretty Easter card.

Once foiled, I colored the entire image in with Copic markers and outlined it using a light teal marker.  I trimmed the panel down on each side and added it over top of a piece of Waterfall Cardstock that had been adhered to a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  To finish off this simple card, I then popped the sentiment up at the bottom of the image.

EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH

And here is this month’s beautiful Embossing Folder of the Month, “Swirling Blooms“.  It embosses a sweet swirling floral pattern all over your panel and is super versatile.  I embossed a piece of Peach Sorbet Cardstock after blending a little Saltwater Taffy and Worn Lipstick Distress Ink at the bottom for this quick and simple thank you card.

Once embossed, I rubbed a white pigment ink pad over the entire panel to bring out the design a bit more.  Then I added a little bunch of flowers cut with this month’s Large Die of the Month Kit, a sentiment embossed in gold using this month’s Clear Stamp & Die of the Month Kit, and a tiny bow of Flashy Gold Metallic Cord.  (You can watch the assembly of this card over on the Spellbinders Youtube Channel here!)

3D EMBOSSING FOLDER OF THE MONTH

And how cute is this month’s 3D Embossing Folder of the Month?!  “Easter Egg Hunt” is a gorgeous and fun floral vine design intertwined with sweet Easter Eggs.  I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the folder and colored the entire panel with Copic markers before lightly rubbing a white pigment ink pad over the raised areas to soften it a bit.

After matting the panel with Mirror Gold Cardstock, I adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base using tape runner.  To finish off the card, I embossed a sentiment in gold using the Easter Bunnies Stamp Set, cut it out into a small strip, and popped it up on top of the card front with foam adhesive.

BETTERPRESS OF THE MONTH

This month’s BetterPress of the Month Kit, “Flutter Into Spring“, contains 4 press plates that create a beautiful floral cluster, a sweet hummingbird, as well as two pretty sentiments.  I used my kit to press the floral design and a sentiment onto Waterfall Cardstock using Cosmic Sky BetterPress Ink and colored the image with a single Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pen and a white Prismacolor pencil for a pretty monochromatic look.

Once colored, I inked the edges of the background panel with Salty Ocean Distress Ink and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.  Then I pressed the hummingbird image onto Porcelain BetterPress Cotton Cardstock using the same ink and colored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens before cutting it out with the coordinating die.  I popped the hummingbird up in the top corner with foam adhesive and added some Crystal Mix Gems to finish off the card.  (You can watch the assembly of this project over on the Spellbinders Youtube Channel here!)

STENCIL OF THE MONTH

This month’s Stencil of the Month is a little different this time…instead of a layering stencil set, you get four different background stencils and I love this option!  “Spring Stencils Background” is a set of stencils that creates four very different floral designs.  I used one of them with some Breakup Blue Lunar Paste (new color!) on top of Lilac Blossom Cardstock for this pretty spring card.

Once dry, I added some flowers from this month’s Small Die of the Month Kit off to one side and tied a tiny bow out of some white ribbon in my stash.  To finish off the card, I embossed one of the sentiments from the Clear Stamp of the Month Kit onto white cardstock in gold and cut it out using the coordinating die.

Here is a peek at all four designs included in this month’s Stencil of the Month Kit.  The top two panels were created with pastes, and the bottom two were used with inks.

WAX SEAL OF THE MONTH

Lastly, here is a look at this month’s Wax Seal of the Month Kit.  The “Lily of the Valley” Wax Seal Kit contains one pretty oval wax seal stamp as well as a bag of coordinating waxbeads.  My kit came with Fern Wax Beads (a brand new color!), so I melted them before pressing it with the Lily of the Valley Wax Seal Stamp to create this pretty seal.  To bring out the design more, I added gold metallic marker to the raised design of the seal.

The background was created by inking white cardstock through one of the Stencils of the Month using Dried Marigold and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Ink.  I added a little floral bouquet on one side of the stenciled circle using the Large Die and Small Die of the Month Kits and placed the wax seal opposite of it.  To finish off the card, I popped a sentiment up in the center foiled with Gold Hot Foil using the You Are Everything Sentiments BetterPress Plates & Die Set.

I hope you enjoyed these pretty springtime card projects and thanks so much for stopping by today.  You can subscribe to any of the Spellbinders Clubs starting on the 6th of the month (including the new Stencil of the Month Club!) and never miss a great kit like these again!

And don’t miss the Die-lightful Die Cutting Sale with up to 40% some really gorgeous products from now until Wednesday, February 28th!
