Welcome back friends! I’m excited to share one more collection in the January release from Spellbinders – brand new Stamps & Dies by Simon Hurley! This collection contains beautiful springtime stamps and stencils, plus two new gorgeous Lunar Paste colors as well. I created a couple of cute cards for various occasions using some of the items from the collection perfect for sending a springtime hello.
SWEET BUNNY LOVE CARD
I couldn’t resist the adorable bunnies in the Easter Bunnies Stamp & Die Bundle, so I pulled them out and stamped all of the images onto white cardstock using black alcohol-friendly ink. Once I had finished coloring them all with Copic markers, I picked a couple of my favorites and cut them out with the coordinating dies. This sweet bunny couple was perfect for a Valentine’s Day Card, but I added a spring sentiment from the stamp set (banner die is included in the die set!) to make it a little more versatile.
To create the card front, I trimmed a piece of Pink Sand Cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and blended Kitsch Flamingo and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink up from the bottom. Then I cut a window out of the panel using one of the Essential Hearts Dies and embossed it with the Flowers & Foliage 3D Embossing Folder. I lightly blended Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink onto a top-folding A2-sized white card base to look like sky and grass behind my window. Once I had adhered the window panel to the card base with foam adhesive, I added the image and sentiment on top with more foam adhesive.

And how about the gorgeous images in the Beautiful Blooms Stamp & Die Set? Because of all of the fine detail in the stamp images in this set, you can choose to color them or just stamp them in colored ink for equally beautiful effects. I did both on this card and love how it turned out! I started by stamping one of the large floral images and a butterfly onto white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating dies.
To create the background, I trimmed a piece of Splash Cardstock (one of two BRAND NEW colors of cardstock from Spellbinders!) to 4″ x 5.25″ and stamped some of the smaller images all over the panel using Blue Belle Versafine Clair Ink. Then I cut white cardstock using one of the Essential Floral Reflection Dies and stamped a sentiment from the stamp set onto the lower corner using the same blue ink. To assemble the card, I stacked everything up on a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive.
CUTE BUNNY HUGS EASTER CARD
Lastly, I wanted to use more of those adorable images I had colored up from the Easter Bunnies Stamp & Die Set, so I came up with this cute little scene for a fun Easter card. This time, I decided to color the edges of the resulting die-cuts with a blue Copic marker to help them blend into their background better. To give them a hill to sit on, I cut some Rainforest Cardstock using one of the Color Block Scenic Scape Dies and embossed a sentiment onto it in white using the same stamp set.
The background was created by blended a little Salty Ocean Distress Ink around the edges of a panel of Glacier Cardstock before adhering it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner. After popping the hill and images up on the bottom half of the card, I filled in the rest of the scene with clouds cut from white cardstock using the On Cloud Nine Die Set.
