Spring 2021 New Release from LDRS Creative

Are you ready for another gorgeous release from LDRS Creative?  Full of beautiful florals, fun slimline background dies, and pretty alphabet stamps and dies, the Spring 2021 New Release has something for everyone.  I mixed and matched a variety of the new products to create a couple of slimline cards that scream spring.

I started by stamped the floral images from the Magnolia Stamp Set onto white cardstock in Versamark Ink, added white embossing powder, and melted it with a heat tool.  Then I softly blended Distress Inks over top with sponge daubers and cut them all out with the coordinating dies.

The background was created by cutting black cardstock with the Trellis Cover Plate Slim Line Die and layering it over a panel of white cardstock that I had blended Marina Madness, Dark Wash Jeans, and Plum Crazy Hybrid Ink over with a blending brush.  After adhering it on top of a top-folding slimline-sized white card base, I popped the flowers and a sentiment cut with the Chloe Alpha Lower Case Die Set up on top with foam adhesive.

I thought the critters in the new Beary Hoppy Stamp Set were so adorable and I wanted to give them a cheerful springtime scene to play in on this mini slimline card.  After stamping the bear and bird images from the stamp set onto some white cardstock with Raven Hybrid Ink, I colored them in with Copic markers and cut them out using the coordinating dies.

To create the background, I die cut some white and several shades of green cardstock with the outer rim die from the Slim Line Basket Weave Pocket Die Set.  I blended a few layers of clouds on the white panel using the Rainy Day Stencil and Marina Madness Hybrid Ink, then die cut the green panels with either the Over The Hills die or the In The Grass Die.

After layering the grass and hills on top of the cloudy sky, I matted the whole background with some pink cardstock before adhering to a top-folding mini slimline-sized white card base.  I popped the critters into the scene with a little foam adhesive and added a sentiment stamped with the new Happy Birthday Sentiment Stack and cut with the Sentiment Stack Coordinating Die.  Pink crystal flowers from my stash were added to the hills for a bit of color.
