Happy Friday friends! Today I’m sharing two cards made with the new Sweet Serenade Notecards Collection by Becca Feeken. There are many beautiful stamps and dies in this collection, but I chose to work with just one of the gorgeous background sets and some of the pretty script sentiments. The Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set is a huge set of 10 dies that can be used to create either a slimline card front or a 4″ square card when you add the score line insert die. It includes layering elements in two different styles, so it’s super versatile and can be used to make cards for a variety of occasions.
THANK YOU CARDLET
The scroll-like style of the square layers from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set reminded me of a autumn a bit, so I added some warm colors and fall accents to create this pretty card perfect for the season of giving thanks.
- Die cut kraft cardstock using the Scalloped Notecard and Score Line Insert Dies from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set. Fold the panel at the score line and burnish the crease well to form your 4″ square card base.
- Die cut Saffron Cardstock with the Large Square Outline Die from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set. Emboss the panel using the Falling Leaves Embossing Folder.
- Die cut Alabaster Cardstock using the Square Decorative Outline Die and Beeswax Cardstock using the Square Decorative Outline and Insert dies. Layer these using liquid glue.
- Die cut Alabaster and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the “thanks” die from the Sweet Sayings Notecard Sentiments Die Set. Adhere them together with liquid glue, allowing the gold layer to peek out from behind as a shadow.
- Die cut Persimmon, Saffron, Timber, and Rainforest Cardstock using the sunflower and leaf dies from the Wagon Full of Fall Die Set. Assemble with liquid glue.
- Mat the embossed panel with Mirror Gold Cardstock before adhering it to the kraft card base with tape runner.
- Pop the delicate die-cut layer up on top using foam adhesive.
- Adhere the sentiment and flowers to the card front using liquid glue.
- Embellish with Gold Mix Gems.
PRETTY CHRISTMAS CARDLET
I thought the delicate circle layers in this set resembled a snowflake, so I added some peppermint patterned paper and a few poinsettias to create a bright and pretty Christmas cardlet that would also work great as a gift tag.
- Die cut white cardstock using the Scalloped Notecard and Score Line Insert Dies from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set. Fold the panel at the score line and burnish the crease well to form your 4″ square card base.
- Trim a piece of patterned paper to 3.625″ square and adhere it to the card base with tape runner.
- Die cut white cardstock with the Large Circle Outline die from the Scalloped Symphony Notecard Die Set and adhere it to the center of the card front with foam adhesive.
- Die cut Teal Topaz Cardstock using the Circle Decorative Outline die and Waterfall Cardstock using the Circle Decorative Outline and Insert dies. Adhere them together using liquid glue.
- Die cut white and Red Poppy Cardstock using the “for you” dies from the Sweet Sayings Notecard Sentiments Die Set. Adhere them together with liquid glue, allowing the red layer to peek out from behind the white layer a bit.
- Die cut Red Poppy, Pink Sand, and Lagoon Cardstock using the flower and leaf dies from the Christmas Blooms Die Set. Assemble with liquid glue.
- Add the delicate die-cut panel to the center of the card front with tape runner.
- Adhere the sentiment and flowers to the card front with liquid glue.
- Embellish the flower centers with Silver Mix Gems.
