Sweet Summertime Cards with LDRS Creative

Today I wanted to take a break from the Christmas in July fun and share a couple of pretty and summery cards made with the latest release from LDRS Creative.  Full of gorgeous florals, fun layering stencils, and beautiful slimline dies, the Summer 2021 New Release has something for everyone.  I mixed and matched a variety of the new products with some older ones to create a couple of soft and pretty cards perfect for sending sweet summer wishes.

There are many bright and beautiful samples using the new Grande Garden Stamps, Stencils, and Dies, but I wanted to go for a more soft and romantic feel with this card.  I started by stamping the image onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink, added Rose Gold Embossing Powder, and melted it with my heat tool.  Then I used the Grande Garden Layering Stencils to add Faded Jeans, Blueprint Sketch, Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, Evergreen Bough, and Pine Needles Distress Ink to the image with blending brushes.  Finally I cut the whole thing out with the coordinating die.

I embossed a piece of rose gold metallic kraftstock using the new Brocade 6×6 Stencil and an embossing mat in my diecutting machine before adhering it on top of a top-folding A2-sized white card base.  Then I popped the floral image up on the side of the card front with foam adhesive and trimmed off any excess before adding a sentiment embossed in rose gold using the Pelargonium Stamp Set.

I just loved these fluffy birds so much that I had to use them on one more card!  This time I paired them with the new Birdhouse Border Die (cut from white woodgrain cardstock with each roof inked in soft colors) for a slimline card that sends a sweet hello.

The birds from the Garden Friends Stamp Set were colored with Copic markers before cutting them out with the coordinating dies.  I also stamped the Get Well Sentiment Stack onto white cardstock with Versamark Ink, added gold embossing powder, and melted it with a heat tool before cutting all of the greetings out with the coordinating die.

To create the scene, I started by adding some patterned paper from the Painted Garden Slimline Paper Pack to a top-folding white card base measuring 3.5″ x 8.5″ with tape runner.  Then I popped the Birdhouse Border up on top with foam adhesive, followed by the Floral Foliage Frame cut from Rainforest Cardstock.  The birds and sentiment were then added with even more foam adhesive for tons of dimension.
