Some stamps are so adorable that you need to buy them immediately and even though you don’t get a chance to ink them up right away, you just know you’ll find your way back to them eventually. When the Sparkle & Cheer stamp set was released by Art Impressions two years ago, I pounced on it…but life got in the way and I never had a chance to use it until this week. Every image in the set is simply perfection and I can’t wait to go back and color the others soon!
I started by stamping the snowman and bunny image onto some Neenah Classic Crest Solar White Cardstock with Obsidian Amalgam Ink. After coloring it in with Copic markers, I fussy-cut it out with Cutterbee scissors, leaving a thin, white border around the outside.
Next I chose some pretty patterns from the Best of Christmas 6×6 Paper Pad. This pad is a mix of two of my favorite PhotoPlay Christmas collections, exclusive to Scrapbook-com, and you can add it to your cart for free today only! I trimmed both the black buffalo plaid pattern and the red and black plaid pattern from the pad to 4.125″ x 5.375″, then die cut the red plaid panel with a stitched border die.
After adhering the buffalo plaid panel to a top-folding A2-sized white card base, I stamped a sentiment from the Sparkle & Cheer set onto the red plaid panel in Versamark ink, added white detail embossing powder, and melted it with my heat tool. Then I popped it up on top of the card base using foam adhesive, added a small stitched circle of a subtle dot pattern from the pad to the left side, and adhered the colored image on top with more foam adhesive.
