Hi friends! I’m excited to be back today to share a couple of projects made with the Anemone Blooms Collection by Yana Smakula. (Check out the entire January release here!) This collection is full of beautiful florals and gorgeous script sentiments perfect for friendship and encouragement cards! I created three pretty cards with the collection in springtime colors with metallic accents.
FOILED FRIENDSHIP CARD
The Anemone Glimmer Blooms Plate Set creates such a stunning foiled image, I reached for this set first. After applying Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using the floral glimmer plate, I added icy blue tones to the blooms with my Copic Markers and cut it out with the coordinating die. The friend sentiment was cut from white and Royal Amethyst Cardstock using the dies in the same set.
To create the background panel, I trimmed a piece of Purple Mist Cardstock to 4.125″ x 5.375″ and added one of the greetings from the Inside Card Glimmer Sentiments Plate Set to the bottom in Gold Hot Foil. Then I embossed the top portion of the panel using the Dazzling Dots Embossing Folder and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with foam adhesive. After popping the floral image and die-cut sentiment up on top of the card, I added some Crystal Mix Gems to embellish.
HELLO BEAUTIFUL CARD
Next, I thought it would be fun to create a textured background using just the outline image from the Anemones Die Set. After cutting some rose gold cardstock with the main die in the Anemones Die Set four times, I adhere them all over a panel of Pink Sand Cardstock with liquid glue and then trimmed off any overhanging edges with scissors. This panel was matted with Onyx Cardstock and adhered to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.
The sentiment was cut from Bright Pink Glitter Foam Sheets and Onyx Cardstock using the Wonderful Script Sentiments Die Set (they are so many ways to combine these beautiful greetings!) and adhered to the center of the card with liquid glue. To finish this simple and pretty card off, I added a few Onyx Mix Gems.
WONDERFUL ANEMONES CARD
Lastly, I wanted to color up all of the gorgeous, detailed layers in the Anemones Die Set too. I started by cutting white and Mirror Gold Cardstock using the detailed layer die in the Anemones Die Set and colored the white die-cuts using Copic Markers. Then I layered the colored die-cuts up with the gold outline, all on top of a white shadow layer. This gave me a nice thick and bold focal image for my card.
I applied Gold Hot Foil to white cardstock using some of the greetings from the Hello Friend Sentiments Glimmer Plate Set and cut them out with the coordinating dies. After embossing a piece of Royal Amethyst Cardstock with the Geo Screen Embossing Folder, I matted it with Mirror Gold Cardstock and added it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base. The flowers and sentiment were popped up on top of the card front with foam adhesive and Gold Mix Gems were added to embellish.
