Christmas In July with Scrapbook.com

Happy Friday friends!  I wanted to stop by one more time before the weekend begins to share a couple of projects made with some fun new products from Scrapbook.com.  In celebration of Christmas In July, all month long Scrapbook.com will be releasing new exclusive products, offering free gifts with orders, and discounting some of the most popular brands in the shop!  I used the new Christmas Patterned Cardstock Pad to create two easy and fun cards that I hope will inspire you to get started on those holiday projects.

MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS TOWN CARD

There are so many cute Christmas icons in the gorgeous new Christmas 6×8 Patterned Cardstock Pad, that I thought it would be fun to cut some out and create a little snowy town scene.  I trimmed houses, cars, trees, and a present all out of different sheets in the pad with a pair of fine-tip scissors.  They make the perfect sturdy little die-cuts because the cardstock is a really nice 85lb. weight!

The snowy hill and curvy road were cut out of white shimmer and dark grey cardstock (from the Playful Cardstock Pad), respectively, using the Color Block Scenic Scape Die Set.  After trimming a snowy background from the pad down to 4.25″ x 5.5″, I stamped a pretty greeting from the Merry Little Christmas Stamp Set on top using Versamark Ink and white embossing powder, and adhered it to a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.

I popped the snowy hill and road up on top of the card front with foam adhesive and then arranged the houses and cars in the scene before adhering them down with more foam adhesive for tons of dimension.

HO HO HO CARD

This next card uses another one of my favorite patterns from the Christmas Patterned Cardstock Pad…these adorable Santas!  I started by adhering a piece of the green plaid cardstock to the front of a top-folding A2-sized white card base with tape runner.  Then I popped up a half-panel of the Santa pattern, cut on an angle, on top of the card front with foam adhesive.

I die cut the greeting “Ho Ho Ho” out of white and Fern Cardstock using the gorgeous letters from the Festive Alphabet Die Set.  After layering them with liquid glue so that the green die-cuts peeked out like a shadow, I popped them up across the middle of the card front with foam adhesive.

To add some bright pops of color, I applied Cherry Pie Pearl Color Pops all over the background in sets of three to resemble holly berries.  I love how easy it is create fun cards with a gorgeous cardstock pad where all of the patterns and colors coordinate perfectly!

I hope you enjoyed these quick and easy holiday cards and thanks so much for stopping by today.  You can check out the beautiful exclusive Christmas products over at Scrapbook.com and create your own holiday cards before the rush begins.  And don’t forget to check out all of the new products, freebies, and discounts that Scrapbook.com will be offering all month long!
