Welcome back friends! As promised, today I’m sharing inspiration for the rest of the October 2021 Club Kits from Spellbinders (if you missed my first club kit post, you can click here to see it). The Amazing Paper Grace Kit of the Month is so beautiful this month and I had a blast creating this ornate autumn card!
This month’s die set, “Flourished Fleurit“, cuts a gorgeous 5″ x 7” card background, but also includes inserts and floral accessory dies that can be used on smaller cards. I cut my main card front pieces out of Mirror Gold, Pomegranate, Portobello and white cardstock and layered the pieces up with liquid glue and foam adhesive for lots of dimension.
The little floral accessory dies are the kind you’ll be using on all of your cards! I cut tons of leaves and flowers out of autumn colors and arranged them around my sentiment (from the previous Clear Stamp of the Month Kit “Trefoil Florals & Sentiments“) that was embossed in gold. Touches of gold on the edges of the flowers were added with gilding wax and Gold Mix Gems finished off the flower centers perfectly.
This month’s Card Kit of the Month, “You Are Stellar“, is a gorgeous kit full of dreamy celestial-themed products. I created four quick cards using the versatile die set, beautiful stamp set, and tons of gorgeous die-cut shapes and stickers from the kit.
There are a couple of unicorn images in the kit, so I grabbed those first to make some pretty cards for my daughter. The patterned papers make such easy and beautiful backgrounds, that it doesn’t take long to pull together the rest of the card. I added a swath of a bunch of the circular die-cut shapes to one card and accented it with a gold puffy stars and a sentiment. For the other card, I die cut a starry frame using the die set in the kit and added some pretty die-cut designs around it.
I had to use that beautiful image from the stamp set in the kit too, so I embossed it in gold on some of the navy cardstock in the kit and placed it behind a frame cut with the die set. A sentiment sticker and a few gold stars finished the card off nicely. The last card is all pretty floral die-cut shapes arranged around a few sentiments on top of some more gorgeous patterned paper.
